En noviembre pasamos unas vacaciones estupendas en España. En mi lista de cosas que hacer en España estaba comprar una paellera y cazuelas, esos preciosos cuencos de terracota en los que los españoles cocinan y sirven sus tapas. Investigué un poco en la red antes de salir. Nuestra última parada era Barcelona, así que estuve buscando sitios allí. Una recomendación fue El Corte Inglés, unos grandes almacenes a los que nunca pude ir. Al parecer, tienen una sección de cocina muy buena. La otra sugerencia que me dieron en un hilo de Chowhound (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/732319) fue ir a una ferretería donde compran los barceloneses. Llevaba una dirección conmigo y el camarero de un restaurante en el que comimos también me recomendó la misma tienda.
Eran las 3:30 y tuvimos que esperar media hora a que abrieran después de la siesta. La espera mereció la pena. Un montón de ollas y sartenes preciosas, tuercas y tornillos y paelleras y cazuelas. También paelleras gigantes como se puede ver en la foto del exterior. Me volví un poco loco. Por suerte, las cazuelas sobrevivieron al viaje de vuelta.
